Your tasks
We are now looking for an engaged and driven development engineer, also acting as project manager, for our Land and Development Unit who wants to work with the development that Linköping is facing. Are you attracted to project management and urban development? Then this could be a position for you!
Your main task is to be the project manager for development projects with responsibility for legal, technical, and economic aspects from project start to follow-up of completed projects. As a project manager, you lead and coordinate the work in project teams consisting of various competencies with overall responsibility for time, cost, and quality. When preparing detailed plans and during the project's implementation, you are also responsible for negotiations, contractual issues, property matters, and financial issues such as calculations and financial follow-up. You will have continuous contact with developers, residents, businesses, authorities, municipal politicians, and municipal administrations.
The assignment also includes being involved in our development work and being part of the team, contributing to a good working environment at the workplace.
Your workplace
Linköping is one of Sweden's fastest-growing municipalities with many exciting projects underway, both infill projects in the city center and entirely new residential and business areas in the outskirts and the municipality as a whole.
At the Land and Development Unit, we are 23 dedicated employees, of which 16 are project managers and development engineers, who drive long-term projects and leave their mark on urban development. We work on projects at various stages, sizes, and characteristics, creating a dynamic and developing work environment. Here, there is an opportunity to focus on what you are passionate about and skilled in, while also having room to develop and broaden your competence.
We are part of the Urban Planning Department whose task is to work with comprehensive plans and detailed plans that govern land and water use and the design of the built environment. The department is also responsible for the municipality's land supply and development as well as project management of the municipality's development in connection with the Ostlänken. The department is divided into three units: strategic planning, detailed planning, and land and development.
We are located in newly built premises in Ebbepark and work activity-based, with good opportunities for both individual work and creative meetings. Flexible working hours are applied, and the possibility to work remotely 1-2 days a week is offered when work allows.
Who you are
We are looking for someone with a university degree in surveying, civil engineering, road and water, or other education and experience that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience as a project manager/development engineer or similar tasks from the real estate and construction industry, as well as good knowledge in property valuation, law, and economics.
You also have a good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish, as the work involves writing various documents and communicating with several stakeholders.
You are a person who takes responsibility for your task, organizes your work, and drives your processes forward. You have no problem working together with others; you listen and communicate in a well-formulated and constructive manner. Your focus on goals and results is noticeable in your work, and you can represent the municipality's long-term development goals while also working with our projects in a businesslike manner.
